Reunion dinner finally
As you all know, my mom was hospitalised quite some time ago. Then the Thursday before Chinese New Year she was re-admitted for the same problem. She was anaemic and had two blood transfusions. She also had to do a colonoscopy a second time. So, they did so many blood tests on her that the major part of her right hand became blue black in colour.
On CNY’s eve, Ah Loot and I had our dinner at the hospital with mom. She had her hospital food, while we brought our own food there. That was to keep her spirits up. Anyway, on CNY day, she was discharged and we took her home. She was feeling down but the whole family was there to cheer her up that night. She suffered from severe diarrhoea because I think she had too much of that drink they gave her to wash out her stomach and bowels before the colonoscopy. When the diarrhoea didn’t stop after three days, I took her to see a doctor at a nearby clinic and she was given some medication which stopped her diarrhoea. That was a big relief. Just as well because some friends had earlier planned to visit us. Richard and Josephine brought the pork dish to my house because we couldn’t join them at their home for dinner. It was delicious and we really enjoyed it. Thanks pals. Then Dixie and Juliana came to visit as well and we had a great time, made my mother happy too. Dixie stayed overnight as we had a lot of catching up to do. It was like in the good old days.
On the 8th day of CNY, we had a belated reunion dinner. Melissa brought the “yee sang” from Dynasty Hotel which was delicious. The rest of the food are home-cooked by Ah Loot and yummy.
Those feet belong to Melissa.

Yikes! U had to take my feet!! :-p
