Years may come years may go
While waiting for the pictures to download, perhaps you may want to listen to the song by Herman’s Hermits. The folks in my generation would probably remember the lyrics to this song!
A chance meeting with S Khow at a mutual friend’s daughter’s wedding early this year connected us to some old friends whom we had not seen in decades. This was how we looked like then…..

S Khow, Beck, Hock, Ah Loot, Mike
A reunion was arranged by S Khow, and so Ah Loot and I went to Centrepoint Bandar Utama to meet our old friends and wondered if we would recognise them after all these years. Our memory bank stored a vision of them as what you see in the picture above.
When we met, we could still recognise each other though we have aged just a little bit

Have we aged or what?
Stephen (we used to call him “Step Hen”) joined us for a little while and had to leave to attend to some family matter. We then proceeded to dinner at a restaurant.
Don’t know how come most of the dishes came out in a claypot and all also got “bak” ….

After dinner, we went to Champ’s for some drinks…

Dr Chan joined us at the Champ’s and we had a good time reminiscing the days when we were young. We got to know each other at the Methodist Youth Fellowship meetings in church. They were from Seremban whilst Ah Loot and I were from Malacca. We used to hitch-hike from Seremban to Malacca and vice versa to attend the youth camps (it was safe to hitch-hike during those days).
It was good catching up with old friends because no matter how much time has passed us by, we still treasure the friendship.
…………… Let’s take a look behind and see what we can find. Last year has gone for everyone, passed with time. Whatever happened to us then can’t happen once again. And what’s now all to me? History. Years may come, years may go. Some go fast, some go slow. Some are good, some are bad. For each one, just be glad………..
