Wendy’s at Sunway Pyramid
Last Friday, I had lunch at Wendy’s at Sunway Pyramid. Ordered the above set for RM11.55. Then went walking around the shopping centre and saw these monks. Wonder where they are from.

My Friday lunch with Kongchai this time around took us to Fig & Olive restaurant at Sunway Pyramid. There are many restaurants on the floor where the restaurant is located. We walked through this area… looks very middle eastern.
The restaurant looks very nice and clean. When we sat at our table, there were two other people in the restaurant. Then another group of four people came, and that was it.
Is this a picture of figs and olives? This poster was hung on one of the walls in the restaurant. The walls gave us the feeling of being in some old building in Morocco.
Kongchai had the ice cream while I had Moroccan mint tea. The mint tea tasted like green tea, I thought it would be some different flavour.
At first I ordered the fish and chips but the waitress said that it was sold out, and then I chose another dish (can’t remember which one) and she said, the bread was on the way there as they had run out of it. Seems to me like they had a big load of customers earlier on or what. Anyways, I finally decided on this beef BBQ kebab. Kongchai chose the same kebab except that it was chicken instead of beef filling. We were surprised to find that the kebab was actually very delicious.
The cost of the food:
Grilled chicken BBQ kebab – RM11.90.
Beef BBQ kebab – RM12.50.
Moroccan mint tea – RM6.00.
Single scoop ice cream – RM4.50.
The location of the restaurant:
LG2, Sunway Pyramid.
Yesterday, I had a spicy breakfast in the morning and then my stomach suddenly began “stirring” (to use my mom’s words). Fortunately, I was in the office, so there was no problem answering the call of nature.
Come lunch time, I went out with Kongchai to KFC at the Petronas station in USJ. It’s quite a big restaurant, with even a drive-thru portion at the back. There were lots of customers and Kongchai had to wait in line for more than 15 minutes before we got our snack plates. It is a 24 hour restaurant and I suppose the location is good as customers kept flowing in and out throughout the time that we were there. There were children coming in after school with their parents, too.
After we finished our meal, we left and the sky was beginning to darken. Soon raindrops fell, and then I felt my stomach stirring again. We were at least 15 minutes away from office and I really needed to go to the toilet. There was a Shell station a short distance ahead and as I tried to change lane to get into the station, a man driving a BMW car refused to give way and almost crashed into my car. In fact, he looked like he wanted to pick a fight with me, a real road bully he was. I ignored him although he slowed down his car in front of me. I was prepared with a camera to take a picture if he did try something crazy. Wonder why some people are so screwed up, getting all worked up just because someone wanted to change lane. I did put on my signal lights to indicate that I was turning into his lane, and traffic was moving slowly because we were at a traffic light junction. Anyway, I’ll talk about Malaysian drivers in my next post.
So, I finally got into Shell station and rushed to the toilet. By then it was raining very heavily and I was glad I finally managed to relieve myself in time.
Despite the rain and the slight emergency, we managed to reach office in time. What a day!
