I was out shopping with Ah Loot and Paul Kia a couple of weeks ago at Selayang Mall when we saw this sweet young thing singing on stage. We had cendol and ice kacang and toasted bread at Pappa Rich and could hear her singing.
A few months ago, I was caught in a bad traffic jam while travelling home from work. It wasn’t long before I found the cause of the traffic jam. There was a car on fire on the road and it was all the “kay poh” drivers who slowed down to look at it that caused the massive crawl.
After weeks of visiting mom at the hospital, Paul Kia and I decided to go for a massage. I had a stiff neck from sleeping on the chair and a painful right thumb. Paul Kia had a tingling feeling on his left hand. We went to the foot reflexology and massage centre at a shopping mall near home and were immediately attended to. Halfway through the one hour massage, the therapist said that I had “angin” on the right side of my back and suggested I do the “cupping”. I’ve never done it before and so I decided to try it out. Paul Kia was also asked to do it and he agreed.

This is Paul Kia’s back, not mine. Sure looks like he’s got some dreaded disease, doesn’t it? These maroon coloured patches disappeared after a week or so. I’m not sure if it really removes the “angin” from the body but my stiff neck improved quite a bit after that.
Ah Loot didn’t want to join us for the massage but later she said she wanted to try the “cupping” too. Well, maybe we will go there again some time soon.
