I was out shopping with Ah Loot and Paul Kia a couple of weeks ago at Selayang Mall when we saw this sweet young thing singing on stage. We had cendol and ice kacang and toasted bread at Pappa Rich and could hear her singing.
My mom went for surgery on 7 July and then she developed complications so she had to spend a longer time in the hospital. While there, we celebrated her 81st birthday on 20 July. She couldn’t eat her birthday cake though because at that time she was on drips.
The following week, we celebrated Paul Kia’s birthday. Mom couldn’t join us, though.
In August, we celebrated Melissa’s birthday over a dim sum brunch. And yes, without mom either.
A few months ago, I was caught in a bad traffic jam while travelling home from work. It wasn’t long before I found the cause of the traffic jam. There was a car on fire on the road and it was all the “kay poh” drivers who slowed down to look at it that caused the massive crawl.
